TORONTO, February 12 /CNW/ - (TSX: MEW.UN): Menu Foods Income Fund announced today that, due to the increased demand for its pouch product, it is investing capital to expand its capacity in Emporia, Kansas. The first phase of this expansion, expected to cost up to US$3 million, will augment the existing capability and is expected to increase pouch production capacity by approximately 20%. The full project, including the first and any required subsequent phases, is currently estimated to cost US$10 million and is expected to increase capacity by approximately 40%.
